Mark Your Course: Join the NAS Division Richmond
NAS Richmond Sea Cadets seeks to expand its division. They therefore offer an invitation to join their group. This division is committed to leadership. The Naval Youth Development Programme involves girls and boys aged 10 to 18 in local and national training. It is dynamic and economical and meets routinely on Saturdays in the morning at the Miami-Dade Military Museum and Memorial, near the ZooMiami.
Cadets participate monthly in community, environmental and cultural activities to learn and serve at the local level. One father shared: “I think summer training offered my daughter opportunities that allowed her to explore naval races while also preparing her for college.
Students learn to balance the physical and mental demands of training.” “I was impressed by the support that cadets offer each other to overcome obstacles. My student had difficulties with the requirement to run a mile. A fellow cadet retreated to join my son and they reached the goal together,” he added.
This year, in addition to training, the division has coordinated rock climbing, defence training, park cleaning, aerial exhibition in Homestead, fire training and other activities. NAS Richmond Sea Cadets is fun and challenging. Last week they participated in the Superintendent’s 5k with Thumbs Up International.
Curious fact: Lorenzo Gari, a former local student of the Florida Sea Cadets, now serves our country as a legislative assistant in Congress. Listen to your testimony about your participation in Sea Cadets https://www.seacadets.org/alumni/ Two former cadet students from the Richmond NAS Division are proudly attending the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland. The students also entered the School of Commercial
Navy Officers and Coast Guard. Without exception, all our cadets attend the university, participate in the community and continue to contribute to their achievements. Small in numbers, big in results. The core values of the USNSCC are honor, respect, commitment and service. Sign up for NAS Richmond Sea Cadets https://form.jotform.com/240345994764064
The motto “Mark Your Course” summarizes the results of participation in Sea Cadets. Each cadet receives tools, instruction and training that can in turn be applied in the direction of their future.
