Everything Works for Good

We know that God works all things together for the good of those who love him, that is, of those whom he has called according to his plan. (Romans 8:28)

In the journey of life, we face situations that challenge our ability to understand. There are circumstances that, from a rational perspective, seem to have no explanation or meaning. However, the Bible says that God’s thoughts are higher than ours and that He continues to work even when we do not understand His ways. The way to connect with that perspective is not through a logical mind, but through faith.

There is a powerful key that allows us to cross the wilderness victoriously and face adversity with peace. The Bible says: “And
we know that all things work — help, happen— together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose” (Romans 8:28). It does not say that all things are good, but that all things work for good. Even in the midst of catastrophes, we can see the powerful hand of God working miracles. Even in the middle of deserts, we can find supernatural provision. God has the power to transform even the most painful circumstances into part of a greater purpose.

Abraham waited nearly twenty-five years for the fulfillment of the promise of a son. When he finally had Isaac, God asked him to surrender him. That request was incomprehensible. However, Abraham chose to trust rather than to understand. He believed that God would remain faithful even if he had to give up what he loved most.

Truly, this contains a profound revelation to which we could dedicate entire pages. The sacrifice of Isaac was a prophetic act of what God would do 2,000 years later with His own Son, in the exact same place. Christ is the Lamb that God provided —at Passover— for the perfect sacrifice.

In the midst of the situation, Abraham “did not waver at the
promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith,
giving glory to God” (Romans 4:20). There is the key: remaining
firm when circumstances seem to collapse, convinced that God remains faithful. Glory to God!

In recent days, the Latin people have contemplated with deep pain the tragedy that occurred in Venezuela. Thousands of people were surprised by a catastrophe that left destruction, loss, and suffering.

However, in the midst of the chaos, we have also seen extraordinary
acts of solidarity—rescuers giving their lives for others and people
who, against all expectations, were found alive among the rubble. Even in the darkest scenarios, God’s grace continues to manifest.
It is prophesied in the Bible that the entire world, in the last days — today— will go through times of adversity. In the book of Matthew 24, Jesus spoke of rumors of war, wars, earthquakes, famine, and catastrophes. The goal is for man to look to God, cry out, and surrender to Him. While the world seeks answers in self-sufficiency, idolatry, or human philosophies, the truth and the answer is Christ.

God calls human beings to repentance and to a genuine relationship with Him. Not because He wishes to condemn them, but because He wishes to rescue and save them through the only way a human being can be saved: Jesus Christ.

Where the world sees an end, He continues to write new beginnings. If you want to surrender your life to God, repeat with me out loud: Lord Jesus, today I repent of all my sins. I confess that I am a sinner and I ask for your forgiveness. I confess with my mouth and believe with all my heart that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; that He died on the cross of Calvary and that God, by the power of the Holy Spirit, raised Him on the third day from the dead. Today I give my life to You. Wash me with Your precious blood, forgive my sins,
and align my steps with Your will.

Save me, transform me, and fulfill in my life the purpose for which
You created me. In the name of Jesus. Amen.
